ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Hardware Design Manger the role of Mechanical Design Engineer will be a key member of our team and is responsible for delivering mechanical engineering product design and drafting support to our operations and project environments. This will include technical support for the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to product introduction and process and product improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Liaise with stakeholders to determine design parameters.
• Desing of conceptual sketches, 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of mechanical housings and fixtures.
• Ensure designs are made with a particular focus on customer usability, functionality, manufacturability, and assembly (DFMA).
• Research, evaluate and select appropriate materials to use in the development of products and assembly processes.
• Organise the build, verification testing and evaluation of prototypes.
• Assist and guide the development of manufacturing equipment.
