Description:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Client’s team in their Revesby Office in NSW on a 6 month fixed term contract with the potential for an extension.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in mechanical design of pump systems, especially in the context of dewatering (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics
- Understanding of the challenges of underground mines
- The ability to conduct thorough patent research and be familiar with patent databases and have experience ensuring that the proposed design is not infringing on existing patents
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Creativity is key in designing proprietary equipment so you will need to think outside the box and produce innovative solutions t o design challenges
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and office suites
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities:
YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop and design a proprietary underground dewatering pump station
- Conduct analysis and simulations to validate design concepts
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to review design requirements
- Create technical documentation and reports
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
