Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Engineer to join our growing company in the aviation industry. You will be responsible for designing specialized components and structures for CycloRotor, our new innovative propulsion system for aviation.

As a Design Engineer, you will:

  • Create concepts, 3D models and drawings of parts and structures, ensuring they meet strength, weight, and performance requirements defined
  • Select and evaluate prototyping and manufacturing techniques, based on strength, performance requirements, environmental factors and cost considerations
  • Development of kinematic mechanisms, for eg.: pitch control of rotor blades as well as structural parts and assemblies
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team that includes stress engineers, aerodynamic engineers, manufacturing engineers, prototype & test engineers and others
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in materials, prototyping and manufacturing techniques
  • Oversee the fabrication of components and structures. Conduct testing and evaluation to validate their performance, making necessary adjustments to the design as required
  • Maintain detailed records of design changes and other engineering data
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation and reports

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field
  • More than 5 years of relevant work experience
  • A strong knowledge of physical, structural and mechanical engineering principles and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of materials, prototyping and manufacturing techniques
  • Proficiency in CAD software CREO for creating 3D models and engineering drawings/documentation
  • A solution orientated and hands-on approach of working
  • A creative and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative and communicative attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • A passion for innovation and excellence in the aviation industry
