Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the engineering department at Silent-Aire. The successful candidate should possess 2-4 years of experience. You will collaborate within your team and with both the manufacturing engineers and the sales teams to ensure bid and technical submittals are completed. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised task driven engineer to work on a variety of challenging and innovative HVAC projects in the Data Centre area. This position requires a candidate to have good interpersonal skills to coordinate with other design and manufacturing engineers and collaborate with other departments to deliver a full design package and submittals. You should be a team player who enjoys working as part of a wider design engineering group.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Provide technical design support to senior engineers within the engineering and occasionally within the sales department.
- Support project execution with the delivery of Technical and Bid Submittals and General arrangement drawings for Air Handling units.
- Be willing to learn new skills and share their knowledge to grow a Teams collective knowledge.
- Communicate and interact with internal and external clients to resolve technical queries.
- Selection and design of components and equipment for Air handling Units and modular data centers including:
- Design of custom air handling equipment to client’s specifications.
- Design of computer room air handling units to client specifications.
- Selection of fans, coils and other equipment components associated with air handling equipment and compiling BOM’s.
- Help with the costing of AHU units and components.
- Production of equipment drawings and submittal packages.
- Production of construction drawing package
- Assist with the development of new and innovative product lines and refinement of existing products.
- Interact with production; perform periodic inspections of units under construction.
- Participate in continuous product improvement.
- Conduct air flow, evaporative performance test.
