Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop bespoke assemblies, equipment layouts, schematics and other models/drawings.

You will primarily be responsible for:

  • Working with the Engineering Manager(s) and Product Leaders to guide and evolve the physical integration design
  • Evaluating the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system
  • Performing technical reviews of the Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
  • Guide the transition of design data through to production design data (Stage 3)
  • Guide the Designer team in the resolution of build problems
  • Mentor junior Designers and guide the development and delivery of the:
  • Physical Interface Definition Documentation
  • Layouts and sketches
  • System Schematic Drawings
  • Cable Schedules
  • Engineering Drawings to support the program in accordance with the contracted CDRL format
