Mechanical Design Engineer (Small Parts/Plastic Injection Moulding)

REQUIREMENTS

• Master/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge in design plastic moulding, metal injection moulding, sheet metal
• fabrication and other manufacturing technologies.
• Good knowledge in mechanics, design theory, material science, inter-part bonding
• (plastic-to-plastic, metalto-plastic, etc.).
• Strong 2D & 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks is preferred.
• Knowledge of optics will be an added value.Open-minded, team player, creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position.

• Research, design and develop new and/or improved industrial sensors that meet customer requirements.
• Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, function improvements, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities.
• Create and manage design proposals, design specifications, engineering drawings, and other required technical documents.
• Perform FMEA, DFM, tolerance and other analysis prior to mass production.
• Create test plan and perform mechanical verification and support product verification and validation to fulfil product requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain the product lifecycle including customer complaints, tooling renewal, failure analysis, etc.
• Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer.Verify regulatory compliance (UL, CE, RoHS/REACH, etc.) with support from approval department.
