QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology Management
- Experienced in mechanical engineering and design through past employment or internships.
- Passion for pushing boundaries and creating unparalleled designs.
- Excellent communications skill for customer interactions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- 3D CAD experience is required, preferably Autodesk Inventor
- Willingness to take on non-traditional tasks, roles, responsibilities, and challenges needed to accomplish company goals

Responsibilities:
- Designs products for manufacturability using a combination of independent research and collaboration
- Generates product models, concept layouts, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software
- Prepares accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), develops manufacturing process flow, and enters parts lists and labor requirements into ERP software
- Supports materials sourcing, purchasing, and selection required by the design process
- Provides technical and engineering support to production operators
- Observes all designed projects from conceptual phase through production to final assembly
- Performs cost review of various jobs – identify materials, labor requirements and related costs
- Suggests recommendations for cost savings and labor efficiencies to production personnel
- Communicate directly with customer-based liaisons to define solutions to fill the customer’s requirements – must follow-up on communications routinely
