About the job
We are seeking for a curious and self-going Mechanical Designer to join our team, who wants to join our exciting journey at the Smart Separator Systems department in Tumba! Come join us and continue your career development as we together develop our separator systems for Food, Life-Science and Marine applications smarter.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will actively participate in the entire design cycle: concept development, demand specification, detailed design, drawings, and product documentation, testing and manufacturing. You will work in a development environment that is creative in close collaboration with our manufacturing units. You will work with products that contain many technical challenges, primarily in mechanics but also control/regulation technology, automation solutions and software. In this role, your responsibility will be to carry out mechanical engineering activities on development, standardization professionally and to the business expectations. Together, we have been given the incredibly fun task of developing the digital technology journey within the high speed separator systems. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Mechanical engineering and design of components, systems to various industries for low level complexity projects.
  • Preparation of technical specifications and other documents of the project.
  • Make technical calculations, mechanical designs, and verifications.
  • Select and design products and solutions based on Technical Demand Specifications and applicable standards and codes.
  • Deliver input to improve current technical solutions and / or develop new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
  • Participate in verification and project meetings.
  • Close cooperation with purchase in handling of suppliers.

Who you are

As a person you are curious and enjoy creatively contribute to new ideas and perspectives related to mechanical design and product development. You have a genuine interest in technology and testing new approaches and learning new things. You are motivated by acting as a problem-solver and have the interest and ability to immerse yourself in complex problems. You are used to working closely with your team, are self-motivated with good self-leadership skills and have an interest in both the big picture and the details. You enjoy working in a multicultural environment. Besides this, we expect you have:

  • A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience from PI&D within HSS systems and have a good understanding of different systems, materials.
  • A genuine technical interest, with an interest in working both theoretically and practically.
  • Experience from 3D CAD-software, preferably Autodesk, and PLM systems, preferably Sensei.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience from food, life science, marine within HSS systems or other process industry is meritorious.
