OUR OPPORTUNITY

To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design office located in Brendale, approx. 40 minutes north of Brisbane City CBD.
In this facility you will work with a team of project managers, engineers, designers on projects large and small.

Daily duties typically include

  • Designing and modelling bulk material handling equipment such as support structures, platforms, winches and chutes.
  • Engineering calculations to design conveyor systems and ensure compliance with the appropriate codes & Australian standards.
  • Create concept designs, layouts and scopes of work for completion in collaboration with the design/drafting team
  • Creating shop detail drawings and assembly drawings of conveyor equipment.
  • Checking designs for achievable tolerances, clear dimensioning, weldability, and constructability.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the engineering phase of projects to ensure drawings and documentation deliverables are completed on time, on budget, to the scope and at the right quality.
