OUR OPPORTUNITY
To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Longwall NSW are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our Rutherford NSW workshop.
Responsibilities:
- Create component and assembly models using Autodesk Inventor based on technical specifications.
- Provide practical design solutions in collaboration with lead engineers, meeting deadlines and adhering to company procedures, regulations, and client standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding drafting/engineering solutions and ensure involvement from concept to installation, including interaction with in-house fabrication.
- Demonstrate commitment to personal safety and safe design practices while assisting mechanical engineers in modelling and detailing mechanical equipment.
- Assist in preparing assembly drawings and mechanical designs, ensuring accuracy and consistency, while also contributing to innovation and simplification of designs applicable to the industry.
