THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Mechanical Draftsperson at our Yatala branch. Candidates should have prior experience using AutoDesk Inventor and Vault. This role will also assist with our Quality Assurance by carrying out quality control checks on inventory items as required by our QA system.
Candidates should have a strong desire to learn new skills ranging from reverse engineering of crusher parts, modelling and detailing wear liners as well as getting involved in complete machine design.

Reporting to the East Coast Sales Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Reverse engineering of crusher parts
• Carry out quality checks on inventory
• Generate 3D models and drawings of manganese liners
• Measure and create repair drawings of crusher parts for the workshop department
• Perform inspections on castings and/or parts received from suppliers/customers and create inspection reports on variations.
• Travel to site to measure new/work manganese liners, crushing and screening parts and/or chutes and wear plates
• Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to safety and adhere to applicable standards.
