Job Description:

Torch Technologies is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a mechanical engineer. This position will:

• Support design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and opto-mechanical components and systems.
• The selected candidate will be responsible for hands-on mechanical design, interfacing with other members of the design team and government customers to ensure program success.
• The position will also include supporting lab testing and periodic field testing. For field testing, candidate must be able to travel as needed
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline is required.
• Proficiency with CAD
• Proficiency with creating drawings from CAD
• Candidate must be willing to participate in manual labor activities during field collections and be capable of lifting ~ 50 pounds of equipment.

DESIRED SKILL:

• AS9100 Quality Management System
• Electro-Optical Systems
• Opto-Mechanical Systems
• Experience with system integration and design verification procedures
• Experience with designing MIL-STD compliant systems and components
• Experience with Technical Data Package development
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
