    Position Title – Mechanical Design Engineer
    Location – Henderson, WA
    Salary - $125k - $155k Full Package

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics) or equivalent.
  • Advanced AutoCAD Skills.
  • A solid understanding of Production methods and the practical application of design.
  • Knowledge of regulatory body Rules and Regulations requirements.
  • Vessels design in accordance with technical requirements (Specification, contract and relevant rules).
  • Preparation of design and drawings including calculations and schematics.
  • Considers personal safety and the safety of others in work and environment.
  • Contributes to continual improvement and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

IMPORTANT - YOU WILL NEED TO HOLD AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE AS YOU WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO UPHOLD A BASELINE SECURITY CLEARANCE CHECK.

Classification – Engineering

  • Nine-day fortnight with an RDO every second Friday
  • From this position, you may choose to continue your career into one of the progressive positions or explore lateral movements into other departments.

You will be working as a mechanical engineer in a shipbuilding environment, the aim is to review and facilitate the design and drafting processes of a vessel, ensuring a seamless journey from conceptualization to final delivery, all within designated timelines and budgetary constraints. The objective is to deliver output that not only meets but exceeds the standards set by both the client and regulatory authorities in the maritime industry. This involves a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, structural integrity, and operational efficiency, with a focus on optimizing functionality and safety while aligning with project objectives.
