Description:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our manufacturing client in London, ON location.
Shift - Day
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in dealing with complexity, communication, leadership, supervision, hardware specifications, manufacturing methods, procedures, quality, and product development.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position or launching programs in the automotive or related industry.
- Understanding of all aspects related to automotive stamping, welding, processing, and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects within predefined cost and time constraints.
- Contribute to the quoting team, program structure, and process flow.
- Procure necessary parts and materials.
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes, applying engineering principles for design and project development.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, design research programs, and collaborate with equipment vendors and operators to ensure efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, contractors, engineers, and relevant authorities.
- Analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Specify system components or modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend design modifications.
- Study industrial processes to identify opportunities for equipment application and provide feedback to design engineers.
- Ensure adherence to company machinery guidelines.
- Oversee and assist with installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment.
- Provide follow-up documentation to confirm equipment meets design specifications.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment.
- Provide manufacturing engineering information and answer questions and requests.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Monitor design efforts to ensure on-time project delivery within budgetary constraints.
