Description:

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our manufacturing client in London, ON location.
Shift - Day

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in dealing with complexity, communication, leadership, supervision, hardware specifications, manufacturing methods, procedures, quality, and product development.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position or launching programs in the automotive or related industry.
  • Understanding of all aspects related to automotive stamping, welding, processing, and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects within predefined cost and time constraints.
  • Contribute to the quoting team, program structure, and process flow.
  • Procure necessary parts and materials.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes, applying engineering principles for design and project development.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes, design research programs, and collaborate with equipment vendors and operators to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, contractors, engineers, and relevant authorities.
  • Analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
  • Specify system components or modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and recommend design modifications.
  • Study industrial processes to identify opportunities for equipment application and provide feedback to design engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to company machinery guidelines.
  • Oversee and assist with installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment.
  • Provide follow-up documentation to confirm equipment meets design specifications.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information and answer questions and requests.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Monitor design efforts to ensure on-time project delivery within budgetary constraints.
