THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of engineering principles, practices and procedures.
• An understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
• Able to perform and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create designs and details using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in the material handling industry.
• Demonstrated ability to write organized engineering documents.
• Experience with weldments and sheet metal design.
  Qualifications:
  -5+ years of recent experience in mechanical engineering / design of material handling and automation equipment
  -5+ years recent experience using solidworks
  -5+ years progressive experience in custom fabrication/manufacturing

-Proficient in 2D (AutoCAD) AND 3D (SolidWorks) design

• Mechanically inclined

Working environment:
Work in a office and manufacturing environment with use of proper PPE required

-Work alone or with the engineering team to develop new machines and material handling equipment.
-Design hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
-Selection of mechanical components such as actuators, motors, fasteners, bearings, etc…
-Design and detail mechanical components and assemblies for manufacturing purposes.
-Create assemblies, designs, BOMs, etc. using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
