Mechanical Engineer
Piping and storage

£55k + pension upto 15%, healthcare, canteen, potential for home working some days.
Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in analysing the condition, capability, and compliance of existing facilities. Key responsibilities include defining equipment, piping, and storage systems concepts and scheme requirements, preparing mechanical and equipment design philosophies, and providing mechanical engineering input to various project phases.

£55k salary + excellent employer with employee benefits including

  • Define equipment and piping system concepts and scheme requirements
  • Provide mechanical engineering input to basis of design
  • Review electrical engineering design and approve contractor’s deliverables
  • Support procurement process and construction with electrical engineering expertise
  • Assist with facility performance testing, commissioning, and start-up
  • Optimize facilities in collaboration with Asset Teams
  • Contribute to Operations and Maintenance Philosophy with mechanical engineering input
  • Support preparation of operations manuals, commissioning strategy, and maintenance procedures
  • Participate in hazard identification and assessment studies
  • Provide mechanical engineering support to Projects team for mechanical integrity of process equipment and piping & storage systems
  • Contribute to the preparation of safety critical procedures and process safety KPIs

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and application of industry standards for mechanical systems and equipment design
  • Experience in preparing design philosophies and procedures
  • Ability to provide mechanical engineering support across various project phases
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
