Responsibilities:
- Development and design of mechanical components, systems or devices
- Carrying out FEM simulations and deriving mechanical adjustments based on the simulation results
- Optimization of designs regarding costs, performance and manufacturability
- Creating technical documentation and drawings for production and communicating with suppliers
- Participation in the creation of validation and test plans as well as requirement specifications, specifications, FMEA and risk analyses/tolerance calculations
- Intensive interdisciplinary cooperation with related departments
Qualifications:
- You have a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable training and many years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in the design and development of mechanical systems and familiarity with design standards and practices
- Confident handling of CAD systems (especially SolidWorks) in 2D and 3D
- Ideally experience with requirement management tools (e.g. Siemens Polarion)
- You are a team player and have an open and communicative way of working
- Very good written and spoken German and a good command of English
