Responsibilities:

  • Development and design of mechanical components, systems or devices
  • Carrying out FEM simulations and deriving mechanical adjustments based on the simulation results
  • Optimization of designs regarding costs, performance and manufacturability
  • Creating technical documentation and drawings for production and communicating with suppliers
  • Participation in the creation of validation and test plans as well as requirement specifications, specifications, FMEA and risk analyses/tolerance calculations
  • Intensive interdisciplinary cooperation with related departments

Qualifications:

  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable training and many years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in the design and development of mechanical systems and familiarity with design standards and practices
  • Confident handling of CAD systems (especially SolidWorks) in 2D and 3D
  • Ideally experience with requirement management tools (e.g. Siemens Polarion)
  • You are a team player and have an open and communicative way of working
  • Very good written and spoken German and a good command of English
