A recognised engineering qualification
Minimum 3 years’ work experience in the engineering field

The ability to understand complex circumstances and then be able to report them in a clear and concise way
Sound computer, written and numerical skills
Insurance loss adjusting experience will be advantageous, but is not mandatory

ABOUT THE ROLE:

They are seeking to employ a suitably motivated, qualified and degreed Mechanical Engineer as a Loss Adjuster, within their Durban team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing exceptional levels of service to our clients and their customers
• Proactively manage a file load, meet individual performance targets and deliver a high standard of work
• Investigate and report on the facts of incidents giving rise to insurance claims.
• Gathering and preserving evidence
• Establish the cause of loss
• Quantifying the nature and extent of damage
• Determining policy liability and providing recommendations to clients
• Contributing to the further growth and success of the branch
