Mechanical Engineer (Marine)

We are looking for Mechanical Engineer with experience in overhaul, exchange & parts supply of all types of Mechanical, Hydraulic & Electric Governors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Troubleshooting, Servicing, Overhauling repairing all Governor and electrical & mechanical of marine hydraulic equipments onboard or shipyard.
• Technical and practical knowledge in Control Systems/ Mechanical /Electrical / Hydraulics and Structures of various cranes. Independent attending on board and leading the service team as well.
• Supervise and hands on taking part of Control PCBs/ Electrical / Mechanical /Hydraulic components (Governor/valves/pumps/motors/cylinders) repairing/Calibration/Testing in shore workshop.
• Container Spreader (twin/single) commissioning/Troubleshooting and PMS/regular servicing.
• Take the necessary measurements and readings to provide a repair plan, estimated repair time, consumables, and raw materials required for the job.
• Provide technical advice and assistance to the overall team members.
• Delegate the job to the relevant team members and adhere closely to the projected repair and manpower plan.
• Liaise and work with all levels of people, and maintain a cordial working relationship with them during execution of the works
• Conducting Maintenance and operation training to Port, Marine, and Offshore Personnel (concerned).
• Provide technical support to the sales team when necessary
• Compliance with all internal control systems, procedures, orders, directions, rules, regulations, limits of authority, practices and policies of the Company.
• Assist with the development and implementation of service procedures and policies
• Monitor service performance metrics and work with the team to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct Hydraulic training and development programs for technicians to increase the knowledge and skills in the field.
• Able to work with other specialists of the same or lower skill level and successfully complete projects.
• Reporting to top management and customer for daily project progressing and final report for job completion.
• Provide detailed reports of the jobs/repairs carried out.
• Keep track of the stock inventory and place orders for necessary upon approval.
• Ensuring an adequate level of cleanliness, maintenance of tools and equipment in the workshop.
• Attend Vessels in Anchorage, dock, and Sail if necessary.
• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NITEC/ Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Marine / Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine offshore/ service field experience.
• Proficient at handling cylinders, pumps, motor and valve components, and with advance Governor and Hydraulic systems.
• Be able to work on board vessel’s engine room environment, Shipyards, Anchorage etc and travel overseas for assignments.
• Excellent communication skill;
• Possess positive and responsible attitude towards work.
• Able to work with other specialists of the same or lower skill level and successfully complete projects.
• Works under moderate supervision.
• Able to do overtime and work during weekends and public holidays for urgent repair jobs.
• Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.
