Description:
At Robinson we specialise in the production of HGV trailers, cranes and bodies.
We are looking for mechanical engineer who is interested and excited to take responsibility for a new up coming project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop the product.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation
- Create and interpret production drawings, including schematics and electrical/hydraulic systems
- Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design
- Perform FEA analysis and prepare detailed reports
- Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) for production
- Optimize nesting and machine programming for efficient manufacturing
Skills required
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with an excellent command of the software
- Experience with FEA analysis and preparation of comprehensive reports
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems in the context of machinery design
- Proficient in reading and understanding legislation relevant to the industry
- Familiarity with production drawings and ability to create accurate schematics
- Understanding of nesting and machine programming, with the ability to optimize these processes
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to deliver work to high standards
- Flexible with excellent time management skills
Experience in a similar or related field (agri/quarry/plant machinery). This will be a hands on position from design right through to manufacturing stages
