MECHANICAL ENGINEER – DENMARK - PHARMACEUTICAL SITE

I am delighted to assist one of Europe’s leading providers of construction solutions, in the search for a Mechanical Engineer to work on the retrofit of a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical site in Denmark. They are looking for an independent and organised engineer who is able to liaise with the client, contractors, and sub-contractors with ease. They provide one of the most competitive packages on the market, with accommodation and monthly flights included!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineer Role.
  • Previous experience in Construction Operations.
  • Previous experience with Off-Site Fabrication of module Pipe Racks
  • Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional certification
  • Travel will be required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a Proceed Piping Project

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the main contractor and offer design input during the early engagement process.
  • Oversee the Co-ordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel ensuring spec compliance and as per schedule priority.
  • Assessment of Subcontract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications.
  • Coordinate with the project planning department to ensure that every element of the project is delivered ahead of schedule.
  • Management of the technical submittals and approvals.
  • Management of the RFI process with the Client and Sub-Contractors
  • Management of the material procurement utilising Engineering Materials Report (EMR) by producing material take-offs identifying the lead in periods and field need dates.
  • Work hand in hand with the project supervisors to ensure that design; materials; manpower and schedule are all in place to enable the construction trades can deliver on time, every time.
  • Ensure Works are installed following Project specifications and the Project QA plan.
  • Management of Subcontractors and ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meetings logged.
  • Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery time of the project.
  • Preparation and agreement on project completion criteria and close-out documents.
  • Preparing Subcontract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
  • Manage the Work packs process from development, implementation, and handover.
  • Manage BIM priorities i.e. isometrics generation and release.
  • Development and use of forward-looking indicators to ensure all elements of the project are delivered per the project objectives.
