The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the execution, the controlling, and the documentation of mechanical related instrument development activities and will be located in Düsseldorf.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • MSc/MEng in micromechanics, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Excellent practical experience in a similar design position
  • Experience in the development of industrial measurement instruments is beneficial
  • German (minimum C1) and English language skills expected
  • Proficient usage of Office-Tools and 3D CAD-applications (Solidworks preferred)

    Der Mechnical Engineer ist für die Durchführung, das Controlling und die Dokumentation von Entwicklungsaktivitäten im Bereich Mechanik verantwortlich und wird in Düsseldorf tätig sein.
    In dieser Funktion sieht ein typischer Tag wie folgt aus:
  • Konstruktion und Optimierung von Komponenten und Baugruppen unter Berücksichtigung von Funktions-, DFM-, Qualitäts-, Compliance-, Nachhaltigkeits-, Wartungs- und Kostenaspekten.

  • Sicherstellung einer sachgerechten Konstruktion durch Berechnung, Simulation, Versuche, Funktions- und Zuverlässigkeitsprüfungen.

  • Archivierung der Ergebnisse und Erstellung von Fertigungsunterlagen.

  • Aktiver Beitrag zur Verbesserung von Entwicklungen und Prozessen durch Anwendung des Veralto Enterprise Systems (VES).
  • Sie arbeiten in einem funktionsübergreifenden Team aus den Bereichen F&E, Beschaffung, Fertigung, Qualität, Service und Produktmanagement.

Zu den wesentlichen Anforderungen der Stelle gehören:

  • M.Sc. oder M.Eng. z.B. in Mikromechanik oder Maschinenbau oder ähnlichem.
  • 3 bis 5 Jahre praktische Erfahrung in einer mechanischen Konstruktionsposition.
  • Erfahrung in der Entwicklung industrieller Messgeräte ist von Vorteil.
  • Fließende deutsche (mindestens C1) und englische Sprachkenntnisse werden erwartet.
  • Sicherer Umgang mit Office-Tools und 3D-CAD-Programmen (Solidworks bevorzugt).

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize components and assemblies under consideration of functional, DFM, quality, compliance, sustainability, maintenance, and cost aspects.
  • Ensure appropriate design with calculation, simulation, trials, and functional and reliability testing.
  • File results and generate production documentation.
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of developments and processes by applying the Veralto Enterprise System (VES).
  • Work in a cross-functional team consisting of R&D, procurement, manufacturing, quality, service and product management.
