Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a candidate with a Mechanical Engineering Technician background, to join our local client based in Medway.
Candidates will be required to support and assist staff and students in their engineering workshop.
You will be experienced in machining, milling, grinding, welding and fabrication work and be able to demonstrate to students what to do in these area’s.
You will ensure that the engineering workshop is safe, tidy and has the resources necessary. You will prepare and maintain practicle facilities and associated equipment. You will deal with materials, tools and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained. You will need to order supplies as necessary, unloading and putting away into storage.
You will take responsibility for safe management of materials, chemicals, tools and equipment
