    As a Mechanical Estimator, you will provide high quality, customer focussed estimating. You will be responsible for successfully securing profitable contracts through calculating cost estimates, planning, development, negotiation, and the contract execution of a project.
    To be successful as a Mechanical Estimator, you should have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. Outstanding Mechanical Estimators are able to negotiate with a range of stakeholders,
    make accurate time and cost estimates, and resolve any issues that arise.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
 Extensive previous experience as an Estimator in pipework & metal fabrication fields.
 Extensive previous experience with food, beverage, pharmaceutical mechanical installations &
projects.
Advanced computing skills in Microsoft 365, MS Project & AutoCAD.
 Design, Drafting or Project Management experience is advantageous.
 White Card (Construction Induction Card) essential

Responsibilities:

 Determine the accurate cost of materials, labour, equipment and any other requirements for full &
complete costings.
 Review, analyse and understand the client’s scope, specification, and documentation and
strategically identify & plan the winning edge for the tender submission.
 Engagement with clients on clarifications & available alternative options.
 Prepare estimates to meet project goals, time frames, sequencing of tasks & material/equipment
availability.
 Sourcing competitive and alternative supplier quotations.
 Providing financial assessments of project bids in relation to cashflow & commercial terms.
 Compiling a concise, detailed and conclusive quotation document and ensuring additional relevant
documents are submitted by bid deadline.
 Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that may impact cost & time
estimates.
 Preparing & assisting with job set-up and ensuring effective handover with Project Managers.
 Providing continuous support to Project Managers during execution of projects including tender
information, variation costings & ad hoc estimates for the business.
