Mechanical Fitter

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work collaboratively with the team to complete a range of tasks from general maintenance to preventative maintenance, assist with breakdowns, and complete small day-to-day projects.

LICENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Trade qualification Mechanical Fitter
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Yellow Card
• LF Forklift Licence

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO):

• Ensuring all plant equipment is in efficient operating condition, completing downtime maintenance as required.
• General site maintenance
• Going through Jobs Board to close off small tasks around the site
• Improving machine reliability and efficiency
• Ensuirng all safety standards and requirements are met and maintained.

TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable).
• Experience in installations, fault finding, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness and ability to work adapt to be an all-round maintenance team member assisting other trade qualified staff members with Mechanical Fabrication, Pneumatics, Electronics, etc.
• Ability to Tig weld preferable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and other stakeholders.
• Organised and proactive self-starter with a creative and innovative problem-solving attitude.
• Understanding of Work Health & Safety procedures and requirements.
