We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter in Gladstone. This position will allow you to further your trade skills and experience in a manufacturing environment, with potential to advance your career within our organisation.

In this role you will:

• Work on a large range of plant / equipment
• Support breakdowns / shift work
• Support shutdowns (Step up into supervisor or co-ordinator) role
• Undertake tasks with the view of long term repairs and meeting a high standard of quality of workmanship
• Ensure that maintenance work complies with statutory and AS/NZ standards and requirements, using OEM manuals and the support of peers and engineers
• Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and servicing work safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions
• Read and extract information from engineering drawings, specification diagrams and maintenance manuals
• Prepare the work area for maintenance of plants, systems or components
• Use site systems and the SAP system to ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and archived in accordance with site procedures
• Work within the on-demand system to respond flexibly to changing priorities
• Ensure that contractors are inducted/supervised during service visits where necessary prior to accessing facilities
