The Job
The Company
An international client of ours is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work on Commercial, Residential and Data Centre projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a large M&E Subcontractor in Europe and the UK.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Design and coordination of mechanical building services.
Management of the Design Process from Concept through to Construction stage
Preparation of reports and front end studies
Detail Design of Mechanical Building Services
Coordination of Mechanical Services with other trades
Working with Quality Control Systems
Execution of Design Reviews
Managing Building Management Systems Subcontractors
Managing Direct Labour Force and Subcontractors
Pricing & submitting Variations/ Change Orders & maintaining Variation / Change Order Schedules
Final Account Preparation, Negotiation & agreement
Qualifications & Experience
Candidate Profile
A degree/diploma in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
3+ years previous experience mechanical / building construction
Experience in Data Centres would be advantageous
Previous experience working on industrial, data centre and pharmaceutical projects
Hevacomp & Autocad experience
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Motivated and creative approach to problem solving
The ability to work well as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong operational skills and an attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and anticipate any problems
Experience using 2D/3D Autocad is advantageous
Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.
Mechanical Building Services construction background in both commercial and residential sectors
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
