MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

I am seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a well-known and well-loved manufacturing plant in Limerick, near the border to Kerry, to join their team-based organisation. I seek a mechanical engineer with experience working in a manufacturing plant or the construction industry. If you are looking for a role where you have real autonomy and enjoy taking on varied, large-scale, exciting projects, then this is the role for you. I have assisted this company for over 16 years, and I have placed numerous Engineers with this company, and they have all been incredibly happy. Every time an Engineer goes for an interview, they want the role.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS!

  • Degree-qualified mechanical engineer
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the project team to agree on the design brief and schedule
  • Prepares concept designs, risk assessments, and budget estimates
  • Tasks mechanical designers to survey and/or As build job sites relating to design and to develop design drawings
  • Enlists the assistance of E/I, Control, or civil engineering support where required
  • Apply International standards, including safety, quality, environment, cost, and energy efficiency standards to all aspects of work
  • Ensures that engineering design calculations are completed, maintains all documents, oversees new or updated drawings for projects or plant modifications
  • Prepares project documents, health and safety plans, specifications, bills of materials, and material purchases as required to implement the projects
  • Liaises with the project team and contractors during the installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages
  • Ensures all equipment is registered on the maintenance management systems and project documentation is filed appropriately
  • Reports regularly on project status, schedule, and budget
