Description:
AVK-SEG UK Ltd is a leading company in the energy sector, committed to driving innovation and sustainability in critical power installations. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team and oversee mechanical engineering projects on a large Data Centre in Offenbach, Frankfurt.
As a Project Manager with a Mechanical background at AVK-SEG, you will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians, to deliver successful outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in managing mechanical engineering projects, preferably in the energy or power industry.
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Leading and coordinating mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the successful execution and delivery within specified timelines and budgets.
- Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitoring progress to ensure project milestones are met.
- Managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Collaborating with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration and alignment of mechanical engineering activities with project objectives.
- Conducting regular project meetings to update stakeholders on project status, address any issues or concerns, and facilitate decision-making.
- Reviewing and approving mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant health and safety regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures to mitigate project risks.
- Preparing project progress reports and presenting them to senior management and clients.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
