ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience, manufacturing environments and strong drive to progress their career. Ideally you will have the following:

  • Qualified trade or very sound mechanical aptitude
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing
  • Team leadership experience is preferred
  • Systems experience in SAP is preferred
  • Experience in reliability-based maintenance work
  • Exceptional time management with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Courage to challenge the status-quo and drive mechanical reliability improvements.

Responsibilities:

Join our team as our new Mechanical Supervisor at our Mayfield site, 10 minutes drive from Newcastle City Centre. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and positive team environment and lead a talented team of Fitters, Mechanical Planner and lube technicians. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the mechanical team and providing leadership and structure
  • Ensuring planned tasks are done on time, within budget and to quality
  • Implement strategy from a reactive to a proactive environment
  • Identify areas of process improvement and champion these improvements throughout the team
  • Review and improve the maintenance strategy based on plant performance and breakdowns
