Responsibilities:
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Gas Generation team based at our Pinjar Power Station on a full-time permanent basis. As an Mechanical Technical Officer, you will have the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplined and highly capable technical team whose main priority is to carry out technical, commercial, and supervisory activities associated with the operations and maintenance of gas turbine power generating plant owned and operated by Synergy both at Pinjar and Regional sites.
Pinjar Power Station is located to the North of the Perth metropolitan area, and the regional assets are located at West Kalgoorlie and Mungarra. Some travel is required to support regional operations and maintenance.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Undertake operations and maintenance work at the Pinjar and Regional Gas Generation facilities as per business requirements,
- Coordinate day-to-day Isolation and Permit issuing requirements including HV and perform recipient in charge duties for Contractor related works on site,
- Plan, supervise, coordinate or execute activities, associated with the operation and maintenance / repair of equipment and systems,
- Carry out technical inspections and prepare reports with recommendations and actions for continuous improvement,
- Manage maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget and time targets whilst maintaining quality standards,
- Contribute to providing a workplace where the culture embraces value adding, people-based safety, Process Safety & Asset Management, and self-accountability.
