Who we’re looking for
The Final Product Area Lead ensures the Gravity Concentrator System is maintained and operates efficiently to achieve the required gold recovery rate. They provide technical advice and support to Metallurgy, Engineering, Concentrator Operations, and SFP Maintenance as needed. This includes following the maintenance program within budget, overseeing improvements, and identifying new opportunities during maintenance activities.

The key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment by performing Safe Work execution
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of a team
  • Set maintenance strategies, frequency, and durations to minimise planned downtime
  • Maximise equipment availability and performance through planned, unplanned, and opportune maintenance
  • Monitoring and reporting on status of equipment
  • Assist with shutdown, co-ordination, and execution

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A current trade qualification as a Fitter/Boilermaker combined with experience in Fixed Plant or underground mining is essential
  • Experience working at a leading hand/supervisor level within mechanical maintenance preferred.
  • The ability to identify major hazards within assigned tasks and implement the correct critical controls prior to starting any work
  • Current manual drivers’ licence
  • Basic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageous
