Description:
Job requirements:
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Offshore experience preferable
- 5 – 10 years hands on mechanical experience
- Rigging experience preferred
Job responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair of the engine room. In particular, the mechanical components of these systems
- Operation of the engine control room
- Assist with electrical and hydraulic repairs and maintenance
- Follow maintenance schedules and complete daily work reports
- Give on going training to assistant technicians and technical assistants
- Performance of any reasonable task requested by the Chief Engineer

- Proof of relevant Certificates of Competency (COC)/Red seal trade test
- National Passport
- National Seamans Book
- SAPS Police Clearance (not older than 6 months)
- SAMSA Medical Certificate
- STCW Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
- STCW Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
- COVID 19 Vaccination certificate
