Description:
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician (UAE Nationals) who will undertake a diverse range of tasks related to the mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and fixtures to ensure their efficient operation with minimal downtime, in compliance with EHS guidelines, and with a focus on continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in a relevant field.
- Completion of PEC Craft Training.
- 4 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry
- Good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with all maintenance tools and proficient computer skills.
- Exposure to installation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/manuals/instructions.

Responsibilities:
- Address all mechanical equipment breakdowns and execute planned/preventive/predictive maintenance work with minimal supervision, prioritizing timely completion to minimize production downtime.
- Assess the technical requirements of assigned jobs and select the necessary tools and equipment for completion.
- Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance system (SAP) to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work.
- Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend/complete proper modifications to resolve issues effectively.
- Identify and report any abnormalities, initiating repairs/replacements/testing/assemblies of worn-out or failed components/parts. Report to supervisor and take necessary action to overhaul/replace parts, leaving the working area clean.
- Perform various tasks related to welding and fabrication.
- Mentor newly joined mechanics to equip them with the necessary plant and equipment knowledge for maintenance work.
- Participate in Business Excellence activities such as Suggestion Scheme, 5S, Hazard Reporting, TAMAHAL/PEER, etc., to improve EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance.
- Assist other departments in equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Input data into maintenance management systems for work and manning records.
- Fulfil day/shift duties with a team of Technicians/Craftsmen/Contractors as assigned by Supervisor.
- Perform all PMs, running inspections, and checklists on a daily basis as per maintenance planning requirements.
- Perform other related duties as communicated by supervisor/technician.
