TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Strong design experience and knowledge in design principles.
  • High level of experience with ANSYS and/or other relevant FEA software.
  • Industry knowledge in either municipal, agricultural or automotive industry (Heavy Vehicles).
  • Experience in electrical work and/or coding in C or Python will be advantageous
  • Previous hydraulic experience will be advantageous

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Mechatronics Engineer will have a strong focus on developing and integrating new technology focused solutions across the company’s range of equipment. This role requires an agile mindset, adapting to changing circumstances and navigating through uncertainties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, evaluate and adapt new technologies across the product portfolio.
  • Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD.
  • Perform FEA to evaluate design performance.
  • Ensure solutions meet safety, regulatory and industry standards.
  • Support new projects through manufacturing and assembly.
  • Create documents and reports supporting new design, test results and lessons learned.
  • Design of continuous improvement solutions.
  • Assist in developing a methodology to develop modular products using common components.
