Description:

  • Prefer a role that involves field service and troubleshooting technical issues?
  • Grow your skills and experience in a rapidly expanding team
  • Travel the world and take on more project responsibility by solving open ended problems
  • Enjoy the satisfaction of seeing real-world robotic solutions in action
Are you looking for less hierarchy and more product variety? Maybe you want to be involved with real robotic solutions that are widely used rather than see fancy prototypes that sit on the shelf.
Well you get that here. Working with a well structured engineering group with a global presence, you’ll deploy, troubleshoot and problem solve gnarly technical software and electromechanical issues in a business that’s powering automation technologies used in the lucrative supply chain and logistics domain.
Because these robotically controlled storage and sorting solutions are for high value industries, you won’t be focused on cutting margins and finding profit. Instead you’ll deploy these high-end solutions that are widely used in distribution centres and integrated with high traffic online e-commerce websites. Their customers see real tangible value in these solutions.
So far, they’ve deployed major product releases, seen revenue grow year on year and they’ve secured a number of contracts in lucrative overseas markets (e.g. Korea, Middle East and APAC regions), hence driving growth in the team including this role.
You’ll get a buzz out of solving tough technical problems (e.g. debugging C and C++ code, identifying glitches though networking log analysis, solving interoperability issues between different hardware and robotic vendors), enjoy working on different sites throughout the year, be hands on in a technical role playing to your strengths whether that’s electrical, mechanical or software design.
You might be a Mechatronics or Electrical Engineer who’s worked in a design role, or a Field Service Engineer who’s got a strong aptitude for software programming and electromechanical design, but is keen to do some field work and solve problems instead.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

  • A diploma or degree related to mechatronics or electrical engineering
  • Competency in software development (this role involves debugging C and C++ code that runs in a Linux environment)
  • Experience with robotics, actuation, complex hardware or electromechanical product development or field servicing of those systems
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to travel overseas for extended periods (trips to countries in the APAC and Middle Eastern region may be up to two months long).
