Description:

At the Department of Economic Development, our mandate is to develop a sustainable and competitive Yukon economy to enrich the quality of life of all Yukoners; to pursue economic initiatives with a shared vision of prosperity, partnerships and innovation; and to forge partnerships with First Nations in the economic development of the territory.
From advising small businesses to attracting investment, we connect our clients with the right people and resources to turn good ideas into reality. We provide analysis and insight that inform smart decision-making and assist clients as they access government supports. We are here to help businesses, industries and communities to see the big picture, envision the future of the Yukon economy, and find a path forward.
Yukon Media Development supports the development of the Yukon film, TV, and media sector and music industry through marketing, mentorship/training and the provision of financial incentives. We assist Yukon businesses to capitalize on opportunities within the media industries and to further projects that provide economic benefit to Yukon.
We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual with experience in music and/or film, TV, and media production and financing to join our team. This person should enjoy working independently and be interested in working with local, national and international clients. This individual, with their strong communication skills, will have experience interpreting and applying program policies and guidelines, and possess the ability to remain professional and diplomatic when dealing with the occasionally dissatisfied clients.
