Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure the smooth running of the Smith Foundation’s central services administration function, by providing a professional and effective service, whilst dealing with queries in professional and respectful manner which reflects the Foundation’s inclusivity. This role has a specific focus on providing support to the Head of Policy and Practice in managing social media campaigns, website updates, external partnerships, events and marketing initiatives specifically tailored to The Smith Foundation. This role will involve working effectively across all of The Smith Foundation sites.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist the Head of Policy and Practice with tasks.
- To maintain and update the websites to reflect updates on all four websites for The Smith Foundation with information relevant for all stakeholders.
- To ensure any media that appears on all Foundation websites are appropriate and fully compliant with GDPR.
- To ensure update are made to the website in relation to the SIP/SEF in a timely manner.
- To ensure website content is accessible and user-friendly.
- To assist with press releases for all areas of the Foundation and quality assure and proof the content.
- To produce, develop and maintain high quality, professional content for the social media sites for the whole Foundation which reflect the Foundation’s inclusive and values-driven organisational culture.
- To produce innovative design works carried out including whole Foundation signage.
- To produce and maintain media for the reception lounge board.
- To produce creative and visually appealing material which reflect the ethos and mission, vision and values of The Smith Foundation.
- To produce and issue newsletters for school and college every half-term.
- To assist in the production of PowerPoint presentations as well as the technical set up of the presentations.
- To work in synergy with the Head of Policy and Practice to produce & continuously improve marketing projects, keeping abreast of everchanging advancements in marketing, advertising, communication and new technologies.
- To provide assistance in creating content that highlights the achievements and activities of students, staff, and the whole Foundation community.
- To work closely with the Head of Policy and Practice to create valuable materials that effectively communicate the Foundation’s mission, vision and values.
- To collaborate with external agencies, community partners and support networks to enhance the Foundation’s resources and access to information.
- To support organisation of events, facilitate communication and support social media sites and marketing events of external partners chaired by the Foundation including ENGAGE, Special Provision Cluster (SPC), National Association for Special Schools (NASS), National Association for Specialist Provision Education Colleges (NATSPEC), Independent Children’s Home Association (ICHA).
- To lead with planning, managing and setting up for whole Foundation events and charity days.
- To be responsible for high quality photography for annual staff and student photo days.
- To be responsible for high quality photography and videography of whole Foundation events including prize giving events, Easter and Christmas fayres.
- To be responsible for any photography necessary on all Foundation sites.
- To support the HR team with media for recruitment campaigns and support updates to the careers page of the website.
- To foster engagement and interaction on social media platforms in a supportive and positive manner.
- To liaise and provide general administration support where necessary for the role.
- To support the Head of Policy and Practice during audits and OFSTED inspections.
- To liaise with the Head of Central Services and Business Support Manager to coordinate whole Foundation events.
- Continuously quality assure processes and media content.
OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES
- To participate in the Foundation’s programme of performance management.
- To attend meetings, training courses, learning and development days and conferences as appropriate in order to carry out duties.
- To undertake such other duties appropriate to the post as may from time to be required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school.
