YETI is looking for a Brand Media Manager to join its team in Markham. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, organized, accurate and able to be solution oriented in an ever-evolving business. You should have relevant media planning and/or buying experience and a proven track record of building strong working relationships with internal teams, as well as agencies. The Brand Media Manager should be capable of running small to medium sized projects, overseeing & stewarding day to day tasks, and will report directly to the Senior Brand Strategy Manager, Canada. You have a genuine interest in the outdoors and the YETI lifestyle and most importantly, the YETI core values will naturally resonate with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Holistic ownership of top of funnel media strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Lead the annual planning and yearly budget setting, ensuring media thresholds are accurate and correctly communicated to media agency.
  • Work with the business and Brand to plan campaign and annual objectives and KPIs.
  • In conjunction with AOR, provide real time optimization of campaigns, and post campaign learnings and insights.
  • Collaborate with Brand Media, Brand, and Marketing Project Management to develop upper funnel campaigns.
  • Ensure proper media tracking and reporting - utilize data and insights to deliver a comprehensive understanding of consumer media behavior.
  • Own, manage, and foster relationship with media agency as well as key media partners and vendors.
  • Manage day-to-day media relationship – ensuring they have best practices and understand milestones and deadlines.
  • Review, critique, and approve all media briefs and plans.
  • Implement and manage quarterly brand tracking with support from media agency.
  • Align with ecomm team on mid-funnel media plans/strategies to ensure alignment across business.
  • Responsible for overseeing, maintaining, & adjusting budget to support business and brand priorities.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communication, or related field
  • At least 4 years of media planning experience and/ or 7 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
  • Residency in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Ability to maneuver in evolving environmental.
  • Innovate and champion the brand’s use of media.
  • Understand how data can be leveraged to shape media strategy and campaign planning.
  • Understanding of Canadian traditional media landscape (broadcast / linear) and digital media landscape (OLV, ATV, Social, etc.)
  • Strong result orientation, pro-active and ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills and high level of strategic thinking.
  • Advanced writing, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Experience in media strategy, media planning, media buying.
  • Manage and/or collaborate with internal and external cross-functional groups.
  • Understand available media tools and platforms.
  • Experience working in a data-driven organization.
  • Solid understanding of consumer messaging and brand reputation.
  • Passion for the outdoor industry.
