MEDICAL AFFAIRS MANAGER

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a key member of our Medical Affairs team, you will support the design, implementation and execution of Medical Affairs plans focusing on the Endocrinology portfolio. As part of this opportunity you will provide scientific information, organise clinical studies and build educational dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and regulatory stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs and Policy you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute a strategic engagement plan and provide a high level of support and advice to the organisation specifically around the Endocrinology portfolio.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure medical enquiries are responded to in a high quality, timely manner, and in accordance with applicable standards; establish standard response documents as appropriate, for frequently asked questions.
  • Design, implement, and execute the Medical Affairs strategy, including risk identification and assessment for medications, including biosimlars, in the treatment of Osteoporosis and other metabolic bone disorders, such as Osteopenia.
  • Support the country strategy and ensure the review and approval of medical and promotional materials, as well as providing medical insights to cross-functional groups.
  • Develop and execute a strategic engagement plan to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinicians, and other stakeholders to promote the company’s portfolio of products, particularly in the area of Endocrinology
  • Responsible for risk identification and assessment, mitigation planning as well as implementation and monitoring of appropriate internal controls
  • Coordinate and manage scientific meetings, symposia, and congresses, as well as Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities to engage with clinicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field of Endocrinology and hormonal disorders.
  • Support product launch activities, including launch excellence planning and providing commercial and marketing support to ensure successful market introduction of biosimilar medications and other relevant products.
  • Conduct field work to gather insights on market conditions and competitor analysis and participate in risk mitigation planning to address potential challenges and maximize the success of the Medical Affairs strategy.
  • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail, including the ability to influence key stakeholders, identify and communicate risks, and dependencies effectively.
  • Proven ability to apply business insights and think strategically and demonstrate resilience within an agile working environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with dynamic knowledge.
  • Expertise in data and reporting, managed access programs (MAP), and medical education and scientific engagement.
  • Demonstrative experience in Medical Governance, Medical Information and Medical Safety
  • Medical Science and Disease Area Knowledge
  • Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) / Epidemiology Studies
  • Background in publication Strategy, planning and tactics is desirable
  • Strong Collaborator and Communicator, able to give concise, accurate and constructive feedback.
