Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling billing reports, monitoring claim denials and rejections, and providing essential support to the billing and coding teams to ensure timely reimbursement for healthcare services. Additionally, this role involves ensuring the accuracy of patient medical data by reviewing hospital records and inputting insurance data accurately.

Responsibilities:

Review and Reconciliation: Review billing reports for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile billing discrepancies and errors. Collaborate with the billing and coding teams to resolve issues promptly. Claim Denial and Rejection Monitoring: Monitor and analyze claim denials and rejections. Work with insurance companies to resolve denied claims. Develop strategies to reduce future claim denials. Support for Billing and Coding Teams: Provide assistance and support to the billing and coding teams. Ensure that all billing and coding activities comply with current regulations and guidelines. Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated on industry standards. Patient Medical Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient medical data. Review hospital records and documentation for consistency and accuracy. Enter and update insurance information in the patient management system.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or coding preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field. Proficiency with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and healthcare regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Certified detail oriented Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification. Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws. Working Conditions: This position is primarily office-based with a standard workweek. Occasional overtime may be required during peak billing periods.
