We are currently seeking a full-time Associate, Medical Equipment Sterilization to join our team in Mississauga.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for the cleaning, sterilizing and decontamination of class II medical devices and accessories such as adaptors, chargers, pole clamps, fanny packs, cases and IV poles.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• High School diploma
• One year equipment cleaning experience preferred (preferably in a medical environment with class II medical devices)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be flexible with other assigned duties as needed in the warehouse

• Collect materials from the returns area and dispose of them as per guidelines.
• Perform specialized cleaning and safe handling procedures in accordance with biomedical decontamination standard operating procedures.
• Cleaning of the workstation as needed.
• Assist with decommissioning of medical equipment with Technicians.
• Assist with packing, transportation, storage and handling of biomedical equipment.
• Assist with supply inventory counts.
• Assist Technicians to update software information of medical devices (date/time)
• General housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
