    Hand + Physical Therapy NYC is a Therapist owned and operated outpatient practice. Located in Union Square, New York City, we offer specialty Occupational Therapy , Physical Therapy, and Hand therapy services in a state of the art facility where our focus is on clinical care and customer service.
    At this time, we are searching for a Patient Care Coordinator/ Front Office Administrator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the Patient Care Coordinator performs clerical and receptionist duties, combined with patient tasks to assist the therapist(s). The most suitable candidates will be professional, energetic, attentive to details, well organized and possess an understanding of confidentiality and discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree/ Associates Degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and assist patients in and out of therapy area.
  • Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the facility.
  • Maintain responsibility for general administrative support.
  • Answer telephones, screen and refer incoming calls.
  • Aid in the treatment and care of patients in a manner consistent with the American Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and New York Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Prepare equipment for treatment as needed by the Therapist(s).
  • Maintain facility records and filing, consistent with company procedures.
  • Work with the billing department to ensure that all billing information is correct.
  • Perform housekeeping duties; maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility.
