Description:

About the role

The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of an efficient and timely medical imaging service through:

  • Assisting with patient preparation
  • Assisting with maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the examination room
  • Liaise with staff in wards and Medical Imaging to coordinate examination times and transport requirements for patients
  • Escort patients to and from examination rooms and assist with patient transfer
  • Maintain required stocks of consumable items in clinical areas
  • Undertake clerical duties as required
  • Develop and maintain proficiency with relevant information systems
  • Attend departmental staff meeting and participate in orientation, performance reviews, skill development programs and quality assurance activities
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Medical Imaging Services
