YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or degree in Applied Science/Diagnostic Radiography as outlined for eligibility for membership of ASMIRT
• Demonstration of appropriate experience within the Medical Imaging field
• Current membership of AHPRACurrent Victorian DH radiation licence

• Valid Working with Children Check
• Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure

This is a Permanent Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Medical Imaging department.
As part of the Division of Surgery, this position exists to provide a quality imaging service to patients and referrers. As a general Medical Imaging Technoligst (MIT), the required roles include imaging modalities as per your current skills and we would be looking to expand and improve these. It is expected that you as the Grade 2 MIT will learn and apply specialist skills in modalities.
You will also provide ongoing supervision of intern and student MITs, under the guidance of the Tutor MIT and Clinical Educator. You will be involved with all areas of paediatric imaging and would be given the opportunity to learn or improve skills in CT and DSA. You will be required to participate in the weekend and after hours rosters as well as some on-call after a suitable training period.
