ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to join the pre-analytical pathology team at St George Hospital in Kogarah. It is a permanent full time role and some shift work may be required. We are seeking an applicant with previous experience in pathology pre-analytical services, with a passion for quality customer service.
The Central Specimen Reception department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days and provides pre-analytical pathology services for the Local Health District.

Responsibilities:
To assist in the management of the Central Specimen Reception department by facilitating effective and efficient operations relating to the receipt and subsequent processing of specimens through the department. To oversee and solve technical and customer related issues while maintaining a customer focus. Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and the maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols.
