MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST – ICON CANCER CENTRE SPRINGFIELD
We have a new opportunity for a receptionist to join us within our Radiation Therapy clinic in Springfield
- Join our existing administration team and support our specialists, nursing staff and patients coming in for regular treatments
- Permanent, Full-Time (Mon-Fri)

Who are we looking for? Our ideal candidate comes with any of the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience working within specialist consulting rooms (e.g. secretary, reception roles)
- Administration experience within hospital / day hospital setting
- Clinic/Practice administration roles (dental, GP, allied health etc)

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have an opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to join the team at Icon Cancer Centre Springfield on a permanent, full-time basis. The overall purpose of this position is to provide high quality a service and be the first point of call for Icon Cancer Centre clients, coming in radiation therapy treatment or consultation.
Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of administrative services providing exceptional customer service to all patients, their carers’, other external clients as well as your colleagues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details.
- Answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries and scheduling appointments.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Entering and processing patient billing and banking.
- Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients.
- Maintaining and managing patient information.
- Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Possessing basic knowledge of Medicare and DVA claims.
- Supporting Icon’s WHS Officers and committees to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
- Modelling and promoting Icon’s vision and values.
