Mackay Radiology is seeking motivated, career driven Medical Receptionist to join our busy Reception Team!
As the face of our organisation, you will gain experience and exposure to all radiology modalities across the clinic, whilst broadening your ability to work alongside many of our dedicated radiologists, technical and administration staff.
At Mackay Radiology we strive to provide the highest quality, comprehensive diagnostic imaging service to the people of the Mackay Region offering a wide range of medical imaging services in MRI; Digital Radiography; CT; Ultrasound; BMD; Nuclear Medicine and Dental Imaging.
This is a part-time permanent position working Thursday and Friday – 15 hours per week (no weekends).

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the onsite Clerical in Charge (CIC), you will be required to:

  • Greet all patients on arrival in a courteous, professional, and sensitive manner ensuring their visit is a positive experience.
  • Registering patient and processing relevant paperwork on arrival.
  • Answer the telephone promptly to responding to patient and referrer enquiries in a courteous, professional, and sensitive manner.
  • Scheduling of appointments using our state-of-the-art RIS system – Karisma
  • Determine and inform our patients of correct preparation requirements prior to their arrival.
  • Manage and protocol appointments to maximise clinic efficiencies.
  • Quoting relevant fees and Medicare rebates to patients, DVA and third-party insurance claims.
  • On patient departure, ensure patient accounts are settled.
  • End of day processes are completed, including billing off all patients, Medicare and DVA batching, site report follow-up and end of day closures.
