Description:
Your role at St John of God Berwick
You will provide administrative support to visiting specialists attending the hospital. This role encompasses all facets of customer service including booking appointments, patient care, accounts, processing pathology, cleaning, stock management and general ad hoc administrative duties.
The Position
- Managing appointment diaries for Visiting Medical Officers
- An understanding of the process of claiming from statutory bodies Medicare, health fund, TAC and Workcover
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Genie, Clinic to Cloud, Gentu, Argus, Eclipse and webPAS.
- All other reasonable duties as directed by the relevant Manager/Supervisor
- Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
You will have experience with a healthcare environment, along with flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment, expectations and timetable changes.
The succeed, you will have the ability to prioritize tasks and workload using time management skills, work as a productive team member with superior communication skills. You must be available to work between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday with the occasional shift of 12midday to 8pm for our maternity program and the occasional Saturday morning 7:30am to 1pm.
Be willing to be part of a team environment, able to work within a very busy non-stop sessional consulting suites with 17 consulting rooms and around 120 doctors over a 4 week period from all specialties.

- Salary: $57,742.24 - $59,369.32, plus 11% Superannuation.
