Description:
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves a wide range of activities centered around maintaining and managing patient records in a healthcare setting. This role is a contract position and will require proficiency in several software applications including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, and MEDITECH.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and manage patient records using software applications such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, and MEDITECH.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all patient records and handle all information in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical trial operations to ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping.
- Use Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data, including the creation of charts and graphs to visualize data trends.
- Perform data entry tasks to update patient records, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards when handling and managing patient records.
- Handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality, ensuring that patient privacy is always maintained.
- Participate in the implementation and management of compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and effective management of patient records.
- Use problem-solving skills to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise in patient records.
- Proficiency in EHR SYSTEM, Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and MEDITECH
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and able to create charts and graphs
- Experience in Clinical Trial Operations
- Understanding of compliance regulations within the healthcare sector
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
